ATTU Aim to the Stars Jordan and Oman support

ATTU “Aim for the Stars” continues to provide flexible solutions according to the needs of the National Associations to best assist them.

13 players represent Oman in the ITTF Junior Circuit Oman Junior & Cadet Open which was held at Muscat on 24-28 October 2019. The players took part in all categories including Hopes, Cadet and Junior in singles and team events. ATTU “Aim for the Stars” provided new rubbers for those participating players.

The best result was AL-Riyami Ahmed who lost in the quarter-final against ALNASER Rawad from Qatar in Hopes Singles event.

3 local coaches and national coach Mohamed Atoum were with the players during the period to know the weaknesses and strengths to work on during the coming period in preparation for the Arab Championships in 2020.

The main target for their National Team coaches was to work with grassroots players in order to get better results in the future.

Junior and cadet tournament will be one of the best steps for improvement in addition to helping Oman for promoting the game as it is still a new game in the country.

Oman believes that they are moving in the right direction as our results in 2019 were much better compared with 2018.

Jordan also used their ATTU Aim for the Stars National project funding to send 6 boys and 4 girls to the ITTF Junior Circuit Oman Junior & Cadet Open, with a focus on developing their young players for the future.
