Grapes Cup-the 18th Asian Junior and Cadet Championships 2012 Concluded

 Fan Zhendong and Chengmeng from China Won the 18th Asian Junior & Cadet Championships Title in Jiangyin

China’s boy Fan Zhendong and China’s girl Chenmeng won the Junior Singles title at the “Huangtu Grapes Cup”-18th Asian Junior & Cadet Championships -2012 in Jiangyin on the morning of Tuesday 13th July 2012 after beating their respective rivals.

   

 World Ranking 3 Chenmeng beat China’s Zhu Yuling in seven games 4:3 to clinch the title. Undoubtedly, the victory is a confidence to the young girl-a rising star in China’s young generation.

 

China’s boy Fan Zhendong, without any world ranking due to less opportunity to join the international table tennis events but has achieved good results in China’s national tournaments. He beat his Chinese rival Fan Shengpeng in six games 4:2. Fan Zhendong won himself an entry ticket to the ITTF Global Junior Circuit Finals at the end of this year. 

 

 

The top 4 Junior Boys’ teams are China, Japan, Korea and Chinese Taipei;   the top 4 Junior Girls’ teams are China, korea, DPR Korea and Japan.

 

The Cadet Singles Title goes to Songxu and He Zhuojia, both from China. China Cadet Team was also crowned in Boys’ & Girls’ Teams Event.

 

“Huangtu Grapes Cup”---the 18th Asian Junior & Cadet Championships -2012 was held in Jiangyin of China from Tuesday 11th to Monday 16th July 2012. The hosting city features picturesque scenes and comfortable weather in China and also be the location of the first Village of Huaxi.
