Fan Zhendong and Chen Meng lead the new order


The first listings of the year and a new look; the official name is the ITTF Table Tennis World Rankings; the initial edition being released on Wednesday 6th January.

Hitherto, publication will be published on a weekly basis, Tuesday being the agreed day.

A total of six lists will be produced

  • Men’s Singles
  • Women’s Singles
  • Men’s Doubles (Pairs)
  • Men’s Doubles (Individual)
  • Women’s Doubles (Pairs)
  • Women’s Doubles (Individual)
  • Mixed Doubles (Pairs)
  • Mixed Doubles (Individual)

The events included will be:

  • WTT Tournaments
  • Olympic Games
  • World Championships
  • World Cup Tournaments
  • Continental Championships
  • Continental Cup Tournaments
  • Multi-Sport Games
  • World Youth Championships

Similar to the former system, there is rating; the order is as follows:

  • Olympic Games, WTT Grand Smash, ITTF World Championships
  • WTT Cup Finals, ITTF World Cup Tournaments
  • WTT Champions Tournament
  • WTT Star Contender Tournaments
  • Continental Cup Tournaments, Continental Games
  • WTT Contender Tournaments
  • Multi-Sport Events, WTT Feeder Tournaments
  • International Events, ITTF World Youth Championships, WTT Future Stars Cup
